How do you store guns safely with teenagers who know where everything is?

Storage advice always assumes little kids you can fool, but mine are 15 and 17 and a lot smarter than I was at that age. They know the house, they're curious, and one of them has friends I don't fully trust. I keep everything in a real safe with a combo only my wife and I know, ammo stored separately, and we've had frank conversations about it. Is there more I should be doing for the teen years specifically?

Don't share the combo, and change it if you ever suspect they've seen it. Teens are clever, treat the code like a real secret.
Consider taking them shooting and demystifying it under supervision. Forbidden mystery objects are way more tempting than something they've been taught to respect.
Watch for warning signs more than locks at this age. If a kid is in a dark place, your responsibility shifts to knowing that and securing access hard. Talk to them.
You're already doing the big three: locked, separate ammo, and actual conversations. The conversation part matters way more with teens than with little ones.
A safe a 6 year old can't open is different from one a determined 17 year old can't. Make sure yours is genuinely pry and pick resistant, not just a lockbox.
