Saw the 16" mid-length 5.56 nitride uppers back down to $299 shipped on the daily deal page this morning. I built my first AR on one of these a couple years ago and it's been totally reliable, so I picked up two more for future builds before they sell out. If you've been waiting on a parts gun this is about as cheap as a quality-ish upper gets right now. Just remember you still need a lower and BCG/charging handle to make it run.

Built three of these. One had a slightly loose gas block screw out of the box but a drop of blue Loctite fixed it. Check yours.
The $299 uppers usually don't include BCG and CH, so factor in another $80-120 if you don't have spares. Still a solid deal though.
Bought one last sale and it shoots 1.5 MOA with cheap ammo. Can't complain at that price.
Wish they'd run the 18" rifle-length version that cheap. Mid-length is the sweet spot for me anyway.
