Price check: Vortex Venom red dot at $129 vs Holosun 507C

Saw the Vortex Venom on sale for $129 and I'm trying to decide between that and a Holosun 507C for my carry-optic-ready pistol. The Venom is cheaper right now but the Holosun has the shake-awake and solar backup. Is the price difference worth it for a daily carry gun, or is the Venom plenty? Optics are kind of a new thing for me on handguns.

507C with the green dot if your eyes are like mine. The footprint is also the most common so mounting plates are easy.
$129 Venom is a great range optic. I run one on my .22 trainer and it's been bombproof.
For carry I'd pay the extra for the 507C. Shake-awake and solar mean you never worry about a dead dot when you need it.
Whatever you pick, get the right milled cut or a quality plate. A loose optic will fail before the optic does.
Venom is fine for range and competition but the battery-under-the-optic design means you re-zero every battery change. Annoying for carry.
