LGS had a S&W Model 19 from an estate sale, talked them to $550

My local shop got a box of guns from an estate and there was a S&W Model 19 .357 with the original wood grips and pinned barrel. Timing is tight, lockup is solid, and the bluing is maybe 90%. They wanted $650 but I pointed out a turn line and a tiny grip ding and walked out at $550. As someone who loves old K-frames I'm thrilled, these classic revolvers just keep climbing in value.

Estate sales at LGS are gold. The shop just wants them moved and doesn't always know what they have.
Pinned barrel Model 19 at $550 is a great buy. Those are getting genuinely hard to find in honest condition.
Nice negotiating. Always look for the turn line and check the cylinder gap on used wheelguns.
Shoot .38 Special for practice and save the full-house .357 for occasional use, the K-frame forcing cones can crack with a heavy diet of light fast magnums.
Jealous. The Combat Magnum is one of the all-time greats. Don't refinish it, original honest wear is worth more.
