Range etiquette things I wish new shooters knew (friendly PSA)

Spent Saturday next to a guy who swept the whole line twice and got defensive when the RO said something, and it reminded me how much of this isn't obvious if nobody tells you. Quick list from years of lane time: muzzle downrange always, finger off the trigger until you're on target, don't handle your gun when anyone's downrange during a cease fire, and ask before touching someone else's firearm. None of it is gatekeeping, it's just how we all go home with the same number of holes we came with. What would you add?

Police your brass if the range asks, and don't crowd the guy next to you. Give people space at the bench.
Add: if you see something unsafe, say something calmly. Most new folks aren't malicious, they just don't know. A kind heads-up beats a passive-aggressive glare.
Pasting on the 'ask before touching' one. I don't care how cool my rifle looks, keep your hands off until I hand it to you.
Honestly the defensive reaction is the real red flag. Everybody makes mistakes, but if you can't take a safety correction without ego, this isn't your hobby.
Eye and ear pro before you walk through the door, and offer a spare set to the obvious newbie who forgot. Small kindness, big impression.
