Is the PSA Dagger really worth $250 or should I save for a Glock?

I keep seeing the PSA Dagger on sale around $250 and I'm tempted as a first pistol, but part of me thinks I should just save up for an actual Glock 19. I'm on a budget and mostly want something reliable for range and home defense. For those who've put real rounds through a Dagger, did it hold up, or is this a case of buy once cry once? Trying not to waste money on something I'll want to replace in six months.

Buy the Dagger now and shoot it. Use the savings on ammo and training, that matters way more than the logo on the slide.
I've got 3k+ rounds through mine with zero malfunctions. It's a Glock clone that takes Glock 19 mags and aftermarket parts. For $250 it's a steal.
Honest answer, the Dagger is great until you want a holster or specific part, then the Glock ecosystem is just easier. Both are fine.
If $250 vs $500 actually matters to your budget, the Dagger is a totally legit choice. Don't let snobs tell you otherwise.
Slide finish on the early Daggers wore quick but function was never the issue. Newer ones are better.
