That hip flexor dig usually means the holster is sitting too far to the side. Move it more toward your centerline / belly button. Felt weird at first but it disappeared once I positioned it right.
First thing: add a wedge and a claw if it didn't come with them. The wedge tilts the grip into your body and the claw rotates the muzzle out. Total game changer for AIWB comfort.
Ride height matters too. Sounds like the muzzle end is too short and the corner is poking you when you bend. A slightly longer holster body spreads the pressure out.
Don't crank the belt that tight. AIWB wants the gun held close, not crushed against you. A good gun belt that doesn't sag does more than over-tightening a cheap one.
Honestly some bodies just don't love appendix and that's fine. But try the wedge/claw + repositioning before you quit, it fixed the exact same complaint for me.
