CCW reciprocity is a maze - how do you all keep track when road-tripping?

Planning a drive from Arizona up through to South Dakota this summer and trying to map out which states honor my permit. Some honor it, some don't, and a couple have weird notification-to-officer rules I didn't know about. How do you experienced folks keep this straight without going crazy? Is there a resource you actually trust?

I use one of the reciprocity map apps but I always cross-check against each state's AG website before a trip. Apps lag behind law changes sometimes.
My rule: if I'm not 100% sure about a state, the gun is unloaded and locked in the trunk while I pass through, and I rely on FOPA protections. Safe over sorry.
Print a hard copy of your route's rules and keep it in the glovebox. Cell service disappears in parts of that drive.
The duty-to-notify rules are the sneaky part. Some states you must volunteer that you're carrying during a stop, others only if asked. Know that for every state on your route.
Arizona permit is honored a lot of places, you're in decent shape for that route. Still verify because reciprocity agreements get updated.
