New shooter here, scored a deal but want to make sure I didn't overpay

I'm a woman who just got into shooting for self defense and bought my first pistol, a Sig P365, used for $400 at a pawn shop with two mags and a holster. Everyone online makes it sound like used guns are risky and I'm a little nervous I got taken advantage of since I don't know the lingo. The slide locks back, it feels tight, and the bore is clean as far as I can tell. Did I do okay or should I have it checked out somewhere?

$400 for a P365 with two mags and a holster is a genuinely good deal, those run $500+ new. You did fine.
Welcome! Take it to a range and put a few hundred rounds through it to confirm reliability. That's your real test.
Nothing wrong with used from a pawn shop if it locks up tight and the bore is clean, which you already checked. Trust yourself.
Smart to ask. If you want, a gunsmith will do a quick function check for like $20-30, but honestly this sounds like a win. Get some training next!
Early P365s had some teething issues but Sig fixed them years ago. Check the serial with Sig if you want peace of mind, but it's likely fine.
