Cleaning kit recommendations - tired of my bargain kit shedding patches and bristles

The all-in-one kit I bought when I got my first pistol is falling apart, the brushes are shedding and the cheap rods feel like they could scratch a bore. I'd rather buy a quality setup once than keep replacing junk. Looking for recommendations on a solid modular kit, good bore rods (one-piece vs sectional?), and whether bore snakes are good enough for field cleaning or just a supplement. What's in your cleaning rotation?

Add a small parts mat and a magnetic tray. Sounds minor but not losing tiny pins and detents into the carpet is worth its weight in gold.
Bore snakes are great for a quick field clean but I still do a proper rod-and-patch session periodically. They complement each other, snake isn't a full replacement.
Skip the all-in-one bargain kits entirely. Buy quality jags, a good brush set, and a rod separately and you'll never look back. Brass/bronze brushes, not the stainless ones.
One-piece coated rods if you have the storage space, they're gentler on the bore than threaded sectional rods that can flex and rub. Get a bore guide too, it's the cheapest insurance against muzzle/crown wear.
Don't sleep on a good solvent and a quality oil. The tools matter but the chemistry does the actual work. And a nylon brush for the frame so you're not scrubbing finish off.
