A proper gun belt made the single biggest difference for me, way more than the holster itself. Cheap belts let everything sag and print. Don't skip it.
Don't rule out a smaller gun for certain days, but honestly fixing the belt + position fixed most of my printing issues with the gun I already had. Try that first before spending more.
Belly bands are great for dresses and athletic wear but practice the draw a TON, it's slower and different. I treat it as a specific-outfit option, not my everyday.
Look into holsters made by companies that actually design for women's bodies and higher rises. The geometry is different and it shows once you try one.
Smaller-framed woman here, 5'3". Strong-side IWB around the 4 o'clock with a good claw and a quality belt disappears under almost everything for me. Appendix never agreed with my torso length either.
