Tired of the 'you don't belong here' looks at the range

I've been shooting for two years and I still get the occasional guy who assumes my husband bought my gun or tries to correct my grip uninvited while I'm clearly outshooting his target. Most folks are great, to be clear, and the women's nights at my local range are awesome. But I wanted to put it out there for any other women lurking: you absolutely belong here, and a real one will help only if you ask. Anyone else found a club that just gets it?

For what it's worth, a lot of us older guys are just genuinely thrilled to see new shooters of any kind. Don't let the few jerks color the whole sport.

Female RO here. If anyone gives you grief at a staffed range, tell the front desk. We do not tolerate that and would rather know.
My wife deals with this constantly. The unsolicited grip 'correction' from a stranger is wild behavior, you'd never walk up to a random dude and do that.
Find a club that runs a ladies' league or USPSA matches. Competition crowd tends to judge you by your splits, not your gender.
