Holosun 507C vs Trijicon RMR HD on a Glock 19 - is the price gap worth it?

I've been running a 507C green dot on my carry G19 for about a year now and it's been flawless, but a buddy keeps telling me the Trijicon RMR HD is the only optic he'd trust for defensive use. I get that Trijicon has the durability reputation, but I'm having trouble justifying double the money for something that, on paper, does the same job. For those who've actually run both hard, is the RMR HD noticeably tougher or is some of that just brand premium? Not trying to start a war, genuinely want to hear from people who've put rounds behind both.

Green dot for daylight, every time. Glad you mentioned that. The green emitter on the 507C is way easier for my aging eyes to pick up than red.
Run what you'll actually train with. A 507C you shoot every weekend beats an RMR HD that sits in the safe because you're scared to scratch it.
One thing nobody mentions: warranty support. Holosun has been great to me on an RMA, turned it around in like two weeks. Worth factoring in.
Ran a 507C for ~8k rounds before switching to an RMR HD. Honestly the Holosun never failed me once. The HD has a nicer window and the auto-brightness is better, but if budget matters the 507C is not a downgrade in reliability anymore.
The 'Holosun isn't tough' talk is mostly outdated at this point. The 07 series has held up in plenty of torture tests. That said, if your life literally depends on it and money is no object, the Trijicon resale and track record are hard to argue with.
